ISTE 4: Collaborator
Educators dedicate time to collaborate with both colleagues and students to improve practice, discover and share resources and ideas, and solve problems. Educators:

4a
Dedicate planning time to collaborate with colleagues to create authentic learning experiences that leverage technology.

4b
Collaborate and co-learn with students to discover and use new digital resources and diagnose and troubleshoot technology issues.

4c
Use collaborative tools to expand students' authentic, real-world learning experiences by engaging virtually with experts, teams and students, locally and globally.

4d
Demonstrate cultural competency when communicating with students, parents and colleagues and interact with them as co-collaborators in student learning.
Artifact 1: Establishing Opinions Jamboard
I use Google's Jamboard feature a lot in my classroom when we need to document student feedback. We primarily used it to reflect on how we viewed certain topics after watching a differing viewpoints video. Jamboards allow for everyone's viewpoints to be heard and seen within the class. The example below is what our classroom collaborated on based on two questions, "Should zoos be banned?" and "Are you task-driven or deadline-driven?" This artifact is connected to substandard 4b because it allows students and teachers to collaborate and create together.

Artifact 2: Art History Interactive Google Slide
The 5th grade team put together a unit on art history. I collaborated with my team to create this interactive Google Slide. Students are able to choose what art movement they would like to learn more about and are then able to interact with the material through clicking buttons. This acted as their research prior to them creating their own art work. This artifact is connected to substandard 4a because it allowed me to collaborate with a co-worker to create an artifact that fostered learning for our students.

Artifact 3: Oregon Battle of the Books Video
I led our school's Oregon Battle of the Books teams and competitions this year. I collaborated with this year's participants to put together a video promoting Oregon Battle of the Books for next year. We started with a goal of creating a video that would encourage students to participate next year. I gave the students questions that they would answer for the video, we spent time recording their responses and then we used iMovie to create the video. We included their responses and then a book list and description for each book in the video. This artifact relates to substandard 4b because my students were able to help me create this video that promoted Oregon Battle of the Books for future students.
