Lauren Tennyson
Bio
I'm Lauren Tennyson. I grew up and lived in Troutdale, Oregon for most of my life. In 2020 I moved to the Roseburg area to pursue a job teaching 5th grade. I also coach volleyball at Sutherlin High School, as well as Rise Volleyball Club. I have a passion for teaching and learning, as well as technology. My current goal is to transition out of the classroom and into an instructional design or learning and development role. I work well in fast-paced environments that require critical thinking and collaboration with others.
Education
I spent my first two years of college attending Clackamas Community College, there I received my Transfer Degree. I then transferred to Warner Pacific University. During my time at Warner Pacific I completed a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. In 2021 I completed the Educational Technology and Instructional Design Graduate Program at Western Oregon University.
Employment
After graduating with my Bachelors Degree, I spent a few months substitute teaching (at least until COVID-19 shut the schools down). I am currently teaching 5th grade in the Sutherlin School District. I am in my third year teaching in this district.
